This is a WALKING-ONLY event.
Eligibility:
Entry is open to any female amateur golfer:
(1) Who must NOT have reached their 19th birthday on or before the last day of the Championship, and
(2) Who is currently an MGA Associate Member, OR
(3) Who is a permanent resident of Minnesota.
An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.
NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership in order to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or an MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee's decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.
This event is a counting event for the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) System.
EXCITING NEWS!! Beginning in 2025, the Champion will receive an exemption to the US Girls' Junior Amateur Championship!
FORMAT:
54-holes, individual, stroke play. There will be a cut to the low 24 + ties after Round 2.
The Champion will be the player with the lowest total from the Championship Flight. In the event of a tie, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play. A tie for first place in any other flight will be broken by a scorecard playoff as recommended by USGA procedure.
Schedule:
Tuesday, June 25: Round 1 - Starting times begin from #1 at 7:00 am.
Wednesday, June 26: Round 2 - Starting times begin from #1 at 7:00 am.
Thursday, June 27: Round 3 - Starting times begin from #1 at 7:00 am.
Starting times for Rounds 1 & 2 will be announced after entries close.
Practice Rounds:
Practice rounds will be available. Please contact the Golf Shop and identify yourself as an MN State Junior Girls' contestant to schedule a time. The fee may be dependent upon the day and time you play.
Driving Range:
Range balls will be provided prior to play each day. The range will open at least 60 minutes prior to play.
Food and Beverages:
Lunch will be provided to all contestants on Days 1 & 2.
Caddie Policy:
The Caddie Policy follows the US Girls' Junior Amateur caddie policy which allows caddies at the championship as long as the caddie is NOT a parent, step-parent or guardian.
Spectator Carts:
Spectator carts will not be allowed without a handicap placard. Please see an MGA official on site for permission to rent a spectator cart. Please remain with the group and on the cart path. Where there is no path, keep the cart along the edge, in the fairway.
