McCauley Ties for Big Ten Individual Title; Gophers Are 9th as a Team

The Minnesota Section PGA will be conducting free local (and regional) qualifying, June 9 through July 30, 2016, for juniors to advance to the 2017 National Drive, Chip and Putt Championship. Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in four age categories: 7-9; 10-11; 12-13; and 14-15 years old. Participants must be at least 7 years of age and not older than 15 by the championship final on Sun., April 2, 2017. The regional champions in each of the boys and girls' divisions from the four age categories advance to the finals that are held at Augusta National the Sunday before the 2017 Masters Tournament.
Participants get three putts, three chips, and three drives to try to earn as many points as possible. Awards are given out to the overall champions as well as each individual skill champion. This is a great way for juniors to get involved in golf and have a chance to go to Augusta National!
