August 18, 2015 | 1 min.

NORTH OAKS, Minn. – Due to heavy rains and unplayable course conditions, Don Berry’s 4-under par 67 during the opening round of the 2015 Minnesota PGA Professional Championship Tuesday was upheld as Wednesday’s second round was cancelled, giving Berry his ninth title at the event.

Berry, Edinburgh USA, qualifies for the 2016 PGA Professional National Championship along with seven others, as well as Brent Snyder, who earned an exemption after finishing tied for 16th at this year’s event.

Snyder, Troy Burne Golf Club, finished tied for second with Mendakota Country Club's Dale Jones Wednesday at 3-under par 68, one shot off the lead.

The 2016 PGA Professional National Championship will be held June 26-29 at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y.
