McCauley Ties for Big Ten Individual Title; Gophers Are 9th as a Team

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Davis Love III was officially announced as the 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain by a task force of PGA of America officials, former Ryder Cup players and PGA Tour players. One of DL3's first acts was to name Alexandria, Minn., native Tom Lehman, as one of his vice-captains. Lehman, a three-time Ryder Cup player, was also captain of the 2006 U.S. Ryder Cup team at the K Club in Kildaire, Ireland, where team U.S. lost to Europe, 18.5 to 9.5.
About the selection, Lehman, who will be one of four vice captains said: "I'm honored... it will be a thrill beyond all thrills."
