Foust and Pfingsten Medal With 67, Three Others Qualify for MGA Amateur Championship

  MARSHALL, Minn. – Carding rounds of 4-under par 67 Friday at Marshall Golf Club, Sam Foust and Myles Pfingsten shared medalist honors and also earned a spot in the 112th Minnesota Golf Association Amateur Championship.

The qualifying field was comprised of 24 golfers in search of five spots to this year’s championship, which will be played July 20-22 at Northland Country Club in Duluth, Minn.

Foust, Edina Country Club, and Pfingsten, Interlaken Golf Club, will be joined by Parker Redding, Hiawatha Golf Club, who fired a 2-under par 69 to qualify.

Jack Ebner, Windsong Farm, and Matthew Bennett, Marshall Golf Club, earned the final two spots Friday as both carded rounds of 2-over par 73.

Cordell Weber, Fox Lake Golf Club, Anson Kuznik, Burl Oaks Golf Club, and Corey Peterson, Benson Golf Club, finished as first, second and third alternates, respectively.
