Kuehn Leads Wake Forest to First-Round Lead at ANNIKA Intercollegiate; Minnesota 12th

 LAKE ELMO, Minn. – In one of the strongest fields in women’s collegiate golf, Wake Forest University took the opening round lead at the 2019 ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M Monday at The Royal Golf Club.
 
The Demon Deacons will take a one-stroke advantage over the University of Arkansas when the tournament resumes Tuesday. Wake Forest was led by Rachel Kuehn, who leads the individual competition after her round of 5-under 67 Monday.
 
The host school from the University of Minnesota finished 12^th after Monday’s opening round, shooting a team total of 308. The Gophers were led by junior Joanne Free and freshman Annabelle Ackroyd, who each carded rounds of 3-over 75 to finish the first day of competition tied for 36^th.
 
The second round of the 2019 ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M gets underway at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Royal Golf Club.
