Sorenson Claims 2nd Florida Professional Golf Tour Win

          DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jeff Sorenson of Blaine, Minn., the first day’s leader, matched the low score of the final round Friday (Nov. 17) for his second victory on the Florida Professional Golf Tour.
          Sorenson shot 68-69—137 to win by four strokes on the Hills course at LPGA International. He earned $2,600 with six birdies and a double bogey at the par-3 seventh hole Thursday, five birdies and two bogeys in the finale. His only other FPGT win was in the 2011 Wildwood Open.
          Tied for second at 141 among 58 players were Floridians Jeff Maurer, Orlando, 72-69, and Patrick Sheehan, Oviedo, 70-71. In 36 holes, Maurer made 8 birdies and 5 bogeys, Sheehan 7 birdies and 4 bogeys. Each received $1,300.
          The FPGT’s third tournament of the season is scheduled next weekend (Nov. 25-26), the Thanksgiving Classic at Green Valley CC in Clermont. This will be followed by the tour’s oldest tournament, the 58th annual Riviera Open, Dec. 2-3 at Riviera CC in Ormond Beach, then a return to LPGA International Dec. 11-12 to play the adjacent Jones course.
