How Do I Join the MGA?

Through a Club

Select a golf club in your area that offers a USGA Handicap Index through the GHIN service.

The USGA Handicap System requires golfers to obtain a USGA Handicap Index through a licensed golf club where they have a reasonable and regular opportunity to play golf.

Here are 3 ways you can become a member of the MGA and establish a USGA Handicap Index:


Option 1: Contact a Club

Join the MGA NOW through a participating club- NEW MGA members only.

Form your own club with 10 or more golfers

Join the MGA through an MGA member club and receive the following MGA Associate Membership benefits (including a USGA Handicap Index!)

Renew Your MGA Membership

To renew your MGA Membership, obtain your past GHIN # by contacting your former golf club or by contacting the MGA Handicap Department. Activate your GHIN # through your current golf club. To find a new golf club, refer to the Option 1 above.
