Smith Is 3rd, Schultz 7th Going into Final Round of Nationwide Tournament

CINCINNATI -- Tommy Gainey, who is known for wearing two gloves and for having played on the Golf Channel's Big Break series, set a course record by shooting a 10-under-par 62 at TPC River's Bend on Saturday.

That put him at 192 for three rounds -- and four strokes in the lead -- at the Chiquita Classic. His 54-hole total of 24 under par ties the Nationwide Tour record set by Arjun Atwal in the 2008 Chattanooga Classic.

Colt Knost, the former U.S. Amateur and U.S. Amateur Public Links champion, shot a 64 -- and lost ground. He's in second place with a 196.

Justin Smith, the former University of Minnesota All-American from Franklin, Pa., finished birdie-eagle for a 67 and is another two shots behind Knost at 198, alone in third place.

He could use a good finish. He currently ranks 131st on the 2010 Nationwide money list, with $11,163.

Dave Schultz is another player languishing in the lower reaches of the money list and in search of a sizable check this week. The former two-time Pine to Palm champ from Fargo (he won the Birchmont, too) matched his career low with a third-round 63, and is tied for seventh at 200.

Schultz is 92nd on the money list, with $25,924.
