Second-Round 72 Moves Lansing into Top 20 at Kingsville

KINGSVILLE, Ontario -- Olivia Lansing played every one of the 14 par-4's and 5's at Kingsville Golf & Country Club in the prescribed number of strokes on Wednesday, during the second round of the Royale Cup Canadian Women's Amateur Championship.

On the other hand, she didn't par a single par-3. However, she did split them evenly, birdying two of the short holes and bogeying the other two.

The result was an even-par round of 72, which elevated her into a tie for 16th place.

Lansing is the reigning Minnesota Women's State Amateur champion. She has also won all four of the tournaments she's played in this summer: Minnesota Women's Public Golf Association Match Play Championship, MWPGA Stroke Play Championship, MGA Mixed Team Championship (with Ben Freeman), Minnesota Women's Golf Association Match Play Championship.

Californian Sydnee Michaels continues to lead the Canadian Women's Am. She followed an opening 66 with a 71, and her aggregate of 137 is four strokes ahead of fellow Californians Danielle Kang (70-71--141) and Cassie Cathrea (73-68).
