The MGA Senior Tour was created in 1996 for golfers age 55 and over who are members of MGA member
clubs and wish to play a variety of fine courses in 18-hole shotgun net and gross events.
Most of the host facilities are located around the outer rim of the Twin Cities area with a few in the greater Minnesota area. All the facilities have unique courses that are fun to play, and they are excited about hosting senior golfers.
The MGA Senior Tour is made up of three sections: North, South and East-West. Each section is limited to 215 members and offers a series of approximately 15, 18-hole events. A player may opt to play in ANY ONE of the sections regardless of where he lives, but he cannot play in more than one of the sections.
The 2007 Senior Tour Finals were held at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club on September 20. The Finals Champions are shown in the photo to right (from left to right): Ron Clayton (Master Gross Champion), Dave Dutelle (Senior Net Champion), R.J. Smiley (Overall Gross Champion), Tom Smith (Senior Gross Champion), Dennis Hurley (Master Net Champion), Karl Olson (Overall Net Champion)
