FINDLAY, Ohio -- On a day when scoring was really difficult at the NCAA Women's Division II Championships and no one broke 73, Emily Israelson of Augustana shot a 4-over-par 76 at Findlay Country Club, which lifted the junior from Staples-Motley into a tie for 10th.
Her 36-hole total is 154. That's 10 behind the leader, Ann Parmerter, who duplicated her first-round 73 on Thursday. But it's another three strokes back to St. Leo's Marie Cooper, who's second at 149 (74-75). Hanna Harrison is tied for third with Maria Regina Gonzalez of St. Mary's (Texas) at 150.
Parmerter and Harrison, who with a 74 was the only other player to break 75, both play for Dallas Baptist, the team leader with a two-day aggregate of 610. Barry, which has four players in the top 25 individually, is second at 616, three ahead of third-place Indianapolis.
Augustana, the perennial NSIC champion, is at 641, tied for seventh.
