Clayton Rask, Elk River 1 --
Derek Chang, Marist (Alpharetta, Ga.) 1 --
* -- Affrunti is not shown on the official money PGA Tour list, but if he were, he would be No. 215
** -- Danielson, who turned professional in June, is not shown on the money list. If he were, he would be No. 220
Note -- The top 125 on the money list at the end of the regular season (Aug. 21) will be exempt for the 2016-17 PGA Tour season. For those who might be wondereing what it took -- Chad Collins finished No. 125 with $734,547. And the top 125 on the FedEx Point List (similar to the money list, but not the same) advanced to the FedEx Playoffs. After the first tournament of the playoffs, The Barclays, the top 100 on the FedEx points list advanced to the the Deutsche Bank Championship. Following the Deutsche Bank Championship, which ended Sept. 5, the top 70 on the points list advanced to the BMW Championship. Following the conclusion of the BMW (Sept. 11), the top 30 on the list moved on to the Tour Championship at East Lake GC in Atlanta. Rory McIlroy played the last three holes of the Tour Championship in 3 under (eagle, par birdie) to tie for first, then won a three-man playoff against Ryan Moore and Kevin Chappell. As a result, he won the $1.53 million first-place check, plus a $10 million bonus for finishing first on the FedEx Points List.
2016 Web.com TOUR
The top 25 players on the Web.com Tour money list at the end of the regular season (Aug. 28), earned exemptions for the 2016-17 PGA Tour season. Joel Dahmen was No. 25 on the list; he made $150,267 during the regular season. Those ranked No. 1 through No. 75 went into a four-tournament series called the Web.com Tour Finals, along with players ranked No. 126 through 200 on the PGA Tour money list. After the four tournaments were completed, the top 25 on the Finals money list -- not counting the 25 already exempt (the Web.com regular-season top 25) -- would receive PGA Tour Cards for 2016-17. At least, that was the plan. But the Web.com Tour Championship, scheduled to be played in Atlantic Beach, Fla., during the last week, had to be cancelled because of Hurricane Matthew. So the money list after the first three Finals tournaments will stand.
