EDINA, Minn. (May 22, 2019) – The Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) has announced the promotion of Tone Pulido as Women’s Golf Manager, effective May 6. Pulido, 23, of Stillwater, Minn., will be responsible for the administration of MGA’s women’s championships, USGA women's qualifiers, events and special programs. He will liaison with the MGA Women’s Committee and will work closely with MGA staff, volunteers and club representatives to promote participation among female golfers.

“I’m thrilled with this new career opportunity with the MGA,” said Pulido, adding, “I look forward to working closely with the women’s committee and our club liaisons to promote participation in MGA programs and help grow women’s golf.”

Pulido graduated from Stillwater High School, and attended New Mexico State where he graduated with a marketing degree and PGA Golf Management certification (he is Class A member of the PGA of America). His previous golf experience includes internships with the Minnesota Section of the PGA and the MGA. The latter as a USGA P.J. Boatwright intern, considered within the industry as an important feeder program in state and regional golf administration.

Pulido, who most recently served as the MGA Senior Tour Manager, replaces Amy Worthington, who left the MGA to pursue an opportunity with the Texas Golf Association.
