EDINA, Minn. (April 30, 2021) – The Ms. and Mr. Minnesota Golf Committee is pleased to announce the return of the 2021 Ms. and Mr. Minnesota Golf Awards, the annual season-ending recognition of the top female and male high school senior golfers in the state of Minnesota.

Now in its fifth year (last year’s awards were cancelled due to COVID-19), the committee is poised to release its annual spring “watchlist” of the top 15 female and male high school senior golfers under consideration as finalists for the 2021 Ms. and Mr. Minnesota Golf honor.

“It gives the Committee and myself great pleasure to announce the return of the Ms. and Mr. Minnesota Golf for the 2021 high school golf season,” said Phillip Ebner, who chairs a selection committee comprised of high school coaches and leaders in the Minnesota golf community.

“Over the last few years, we have built great momentum in the junior golf community with regards to this award. It was unfortunate not to have a high school season and winners of the award in 2020, but I am confident we will pick up where we left off this year,” Ebner said.

From the “watchlist,” the committee will nominate eight girls and boys based on their 2021 high school tournament season. From the group of finalists, two individual golfers will be chosen as Ms. Minnesota Golf and Mr. Minnesota Golf, and presented with the award following the MSHSL State Golf Tournament, June 15-16. All nominees and their families will be invited to attend. For more information, please contact Phillip Ebner at 952-500-2784 or email at psjep1031@gmail.com.

All high school coaches are encouraged to report individual and team scores on the MGA website, at https://www.mngolf.org/HighSchoolRankings.
