Reids Lead Community Christian to First Team Title at Class A Tournament

  BECKER, Minn. – Led by sophomore Brett Reid’s strong two-day performance at the 2019 Minnesota State High School Boys’ Class A Tournament, the Community Christian boys’ rallied during the final round Wednesday, erasing a five-stroke deficit to with by three over Springfield High School.
 
Reid began the championship with a round of even par 72 Tuesday to take a two-shot advantage to Wednesday’s final round before posting a 1-over 73 to earn medalist honors with a four-stroke victory over Lac Qui Parle Valley’s Harrison Patzer, while leading the Eagles to the first team title in school history in its first state tournament appearance.
 
Senior Greg Reid contributed with back-to-back rounds of 84 to finish the championship tied for 23^rd at 168, while senior Zac Patock posted rounds of 86 and 84, respectively, to finish the tournament at 170, tied for 26^th.
