Warian Is Medalist & Gophers Are Team Champs at Highland Meadows
April 16, 2024
SUGAR GROVE, Ill. -- Minnesota wasn't the only place where the weather was awful on Saturday. Play never got started in the second round of the NCAA Women's Championships at Rich Harvest Farms, and the threat of more severe storms in the afternoon persuaded tournament officials to cancel the round. It will not be made up.
Instead, Sunday's and Monday's rounds will be played, and the stroke-play portion of the tournament will be reduced from 72 to 54 holes. At the conclusion of three rounds of stroke play, an individual champion will be determined, and the low eight teams will advance to the match-play quarterfinals Tuesday morning. The match-play final will be played Wednesday.
