USGA Parts with Fox Sports, Signs Media Rights to NBC

FAR HILLS, N.J. (June 30, 2020) -- Effectively immediately, the USGA has transferred its domestic media rights from FOX Sports to NBCUniversal. This includes the four championships in 2020 inclusive of the U.S. Open, and eight of the USGA championships through 2026.

According to the statement released by the USGA, the discussions that led to this change were very recent and the result of scheduling challenges FOX Sports faced in broadcasting the U.S. Open in September, given its commitments to the NFL, Major League Baseball and college football.
