Eligibility

Entry is limited to 84 players. The top 25 from the 2016 MGA Girls' Junior Player Points list will receive priority entry, meaning a spot in the field will be held until May 1. After that time, any spot becomes available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entry is open to female amateur golfers who: (1) must not have reached their 19th birthday before the final day of the Championship, (2) are currently Associate Members of the MGA at the club from which they are playing or are permanent residents of Minnesota. All entries are subject to approval or rejection at any time by the MGA Rules and Competitions Committee.

Rules Information

Championship Format

All players in the Championship will play 36-holes, stroke play.  The Champion will be the player with the lowest total gross score after 36 holes.  A tie for first place will be played off immediately, hole-by-hole, until a champion is determined. A player with a handicap index of 9.4 or less or average 18 hole score of 82 or less, effective at time of entry, will be placed in the Championship Flight.

NOTE: In the event conditions will not permit the total completion of the second round, the Committee reserves the right to cut the field after the first round to the lowest 36 scoring players, plus ties, for play in the second round.

Caddies

Players may use a caddie during the Championship.  However, parents and guardians may not serve as the caddie.
