NOTE: Entries are limited to the first 180 players, including the Defending Champion.

This is a WALKING ONLY event.

Eligibility:

Entry is open to any amateur golfer:
(1) Who is an MGA Associate Member,
(2) Who is at least 30 years of age as of the first day of the Championship,
(3) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active and does not exceed 6.4 at the time of entry, and
(4) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active effective the first day of the Championship.

An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.

NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership in order to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or an MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee’s decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.

Additional Information

This event is a counting event for the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) System.

FORMAT:
54-hole, Individual stroke play played at Chaska Town Course and Fox Hollow Golf Club.

The player with the lowest score after 54 holes will be the winner. In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff on the course immediately following play.

Players will play each course over the first two days. After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the low 60 scores plus ties. Those making the cut will play Chaska Town Course for the final round.

Schedule:
Monday, August 28 - Round 1: Starting times will begin at 8:00 am at both courses.
Tuesday, August 27 - Round 2: Starting times will begin at 8:00 am at both courses.
Wednesday, August 28 - Round 3: Starting times will begin from #1/10 at 8:30 am.

NOTE: Round 1 & 2 Starting times for will be available after registration has closed.

Practice Rounds:
Practice round times are available. Please contact the Chaska Town Course (952/443-3748) and Fox Hollow Golf Club (763/428-4468, Ext 7) and identify yourself as an MGA Mid-Amateur contestant to schedule a time. The fee may be dependent upon the day and time you play.

Driving Range:
Range balls will be provided prior to each round. The ranges will be available at least 60 minutes prior to play.

Food and Beverages:
An awards luncheon will be served following play on Day 3 at Chaska Town Course.
Lunch will be served at Fox Hollow both days for those playing that day. Food and beverages will be available at other times on a cash or charge basis.
