MGA Women's Amateur Championship
2018 MGA Women's Amateur Fact Sheet
Play will be within two divisions as follows:
Handicap Index Limit: 7.4 or less, effective at time of entry.
Entry Fee: $150
Format: 54 holes, Stroke Play
All players must walk.
A tie for the Championship will be broken by a hole-by-hole playoff.
Handicap Index: 7.5 or higher, effective at time of entry.
Entry Fee: $100
Format: 36 holes (Monday and Tuesday), Stroke Play
Players use carts at own expense.
Ties for first place within flights will be determined by a matching of final round scorecards following the USGA recommendation.
A team will be comprised of two players from the same club. For the first two days of the Championship, the best two net scores from each club will be used for a team score. Any tie will be broken by the USGA recommendation of a matching of scorecards found in Appendix I, Part C.
All players in the must walk and may use a caddie.
All players in the may use a riding cart, if desired, at their own expense. Due to the possible availability of carts, carts should be reserved at the time of entry. Online registration will require the advance payment of the cart fee in order to reserve one. If a cart is not reserved at the time of entry, carts will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Entries are open to any female amateur golfer (the USGA Gender Policy applies), who is currently an Associate Member of the MGA. There are no age or handicap index requirements for this tournament.
