2019 Recipient: Shelby Maloney, from Kasson, Minn., graduated number one in her graduating class from Triton Public Schools. She plans to attend the University of Minnesota, Morris, majoring in Political Science/Psychology. Shelby’s extracurricular experiences included five years on the golf team, achieving All Conference her sophomore and junior years.
2019 Recipient: Addison Hawkins, of Mora, Minn., graduated first in her class at Mora Senior High School and is attending Winona State University, majoring in Business Administration. At Mora, Hawkins captained both the golf and Nordic skiing teams and also lettered in cross country. In 2018, she was recognized by the MSHSL for Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership.
2018 Recipient: Ellie Balken, of Dilworth, Minn., graduated valedictorian at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School in Dilworth where she served on the student council, the National Honor Society council and was the varsity girls’ golf captain. Balken attends South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D. She is majoring in pre-pharmacy, minoring in health communications and participating in the honors program.
2018 Recipient: Sydney Regalado, of Rosemount, Minn., graduated valedictorian at Rosemount High School where she captained the golf and cross country teams, and earned the Triple A Award for excellence in academics, arts and athletics. Regalado attends Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter where she majors in biochemistry and molecular biology.

Our mission is to provide a vision for the future of the game by supporting programs and initiatives that enhance the golfer experience, drive participation among youth, beginners and disabled golfers, endeavor to make the game more sustainable, and foster educational and experiential opportunities for children and young adults who are interested in golf and who represent the game’s future in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Golf Association Foundation (MGA Foundation) is the charitable affiliate of the Minnesota Golf Association. The MGA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation and contributions are tax-deductible. It assists the golf industry in Minnesota by providing charitable support for two scholarship programs, the Evans Scholars Program and the MGA Foundation Women's Scholarship (formerly MWGA Women's Scholarship), and by administration of the Minnesota Youth on Course Program.
