Another 65 Gets Warian into NCAA Championships

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. -- Riley Johnson, an amateur from Fargo Country Club, carded a 4-under par 68 Thursday to earn medalist honors and advances to the Minnesota State Open.
The qualifier is played to determine the field for the tournament played at Edinburgh USA July 19-21.
Ben Welle, Meadows Golf Course, and Grady Meyer, Winsong Farm, finished tied for second, both shooting a 3-under par 69 while Tim Johnson, the Pines at Grand View Lodge, qualified shooting a 2-under par 70.
Professional Charlie Larson, Thumper Pond, grabbed the final qualifying spot shooting a 1-under par 71.
Mark Giorgi, Red Wing Golf Club, Ronald, Rebrovich, Alexandria Golf Club, and Riley Conlin, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club, finished as first, second and third alternates, respectively.
The Alexandria qualifier had a field of 24 golfers vying for five total qualifying spots.
