McCauley Ties for Big Ten Individual Title; Gophers Are 9th as a Team

LAKE CITY, Minn. – The Augustana College men’s golf team fired a team score of 292 Tuesday to jump into the lead after two rounds at the 2014 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship at the Jewel Golf Club.
Augustana was led by Tyler Jensvold who carded a 1-under par 70 during the opening round Monday and answered with a 73 Tuesday and sits tied for the lead at 143 with Winona State University’s Mitch Holm.
The Vikings trailed St. Cloud State University by two strokes heading into the second round, but after a round of 292, Augustana will take a six-stroke lead into the third round when the tournament resumes in the spring.
The final two rounds of the championship will be played April 11-12 at Quarry Oaks Golf Club in Omaha, Neb.
