Dimich Qualifies for MN State Open With 67 at Eagle Valley, Seven Others Earn Spots

WOODBURY, Minn. – PGA professional Trinity Dimich carded a 5-under par Monday at Eagle Valley Golf Club to earn medalist honors and qualify for the Minnesota State Open.

The qualifier was held to determine the field at the 97th championship, which will be held July 25-27 at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minn.

Dimich, Purple Hawk Country Club, qualified with Nicholas Olsgaard, Moorhead Country Club, who shot a 1-under par 71.

Professional Rudy Luther, Olympic Hills Golf Club, qualified for the championship along with Kyle Thul, Stillwater Country Club, and amateur Koller Adzick, Hazeltine National Golf Club, as all three finished at even par 72.

Austin vanSytzama, Pioneer Creek Golf Club, and Brent Barnacle, Loggers Trail Golf Club, earned spots in the championship after shooting a 1-over par 73 Monday, while Stephen Barshdorf, Nemadji Golf Club, grabbed the final qualifying spot by shooting a 2-over par 74.

Ben Haselbauer, Hiawatha Golf Club, and James Hutchings, StoneRidge Golf Club, finished as first and second alternates, respectively.
