Johnson and Holland Shoot 72 to Earn Spot in MN State Open

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – Riley Johnson and Conner Holland both fired even par rounds of 72 Thursday at Pebble Lake Golf Club to share medalist honors and qualify for the Minnesota State Open.

The qualifier was held to determine the field at this year’s 97th championship which will be played July 25-27 at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minn.

Qualifying along with Johnson, Oxbow Country Club, and Holland, the Meadows Golf Club, were Jack Elliot, the Meadows Golf Club, and Lucas Gervais, Pebble Lake Golf Club, who both carded a 1-over par 73 Thursday.

Chris Swenson, Pebble Lake Golf Club, finished as first alternate as he shot a 2-over par 74.
