Ramirez Qualifies for MN State Open With 72 at Riverwood National; 11 Others Earn Spots

OTSEGO, Minn. – Julian Ramirez carded an even par 72 Tuesday at Riverwood National Golf Club to earn medalist honors and qualify for the Minnesota State Open.

The qualifier was held to determine the field at this year’s 97th championship which will be played July 25-27 at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minn. Ramirez, Riverwood National Golf Club, qualified along with fellow club member Jon Gleason who carded a 1-over par 73.

Jordan Rykal, Pebble Creek Golf Club, earned a spot in the championship after carding a 2-over 74 Tuesday.

Jordan Peters, Burl Oaks Golf Club, and Beau Hanson, Detroit Country Club, both carded rounds of 3-over par 75 to qualify, as well as Jesse Nelson, Pines at Grand View, who shot a 4-over par 76 to qualify. Six other players earned a spot in the tournament by shooting a 79 or better.

Dalton Charbonneau, Riverwood National Golf Club, Dale Ross, Minnetonka Country Club and Robert Stocker, St. Cloud Country Club, finished as first, second and third alternates, respectively.
