BLAINE, Minn. – 3M Open officials announced more player commitments, including former World No. 1 and major champion Jason Day, who will compete in the fourth edition of the 3M Open, scheduled for July 21-24 at TPC Twin Cities.

Cameron Champ is returning to defend his title from a year ago, when he won the tournmanet by two shots while the 23rd ranked player in the world, Sungjae Im, is making his first appareance at the 3M Open.

Two former Golden Gopher golfers are in the field for the second year in a row: Erik Van Rooyen and Angus Flanagan. Van Rooyen previously won the 2012 MGA Amateur Championship while Flanagan won the 2020 Minnesota State Open.

Rickie Fowler, winner of the 2015 Players Championship and 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open, Cameron Tringale, the 49th ranked player in the world, and Kurt Kitayama, PGA Tour rookie and 62nd ranked player in the world, are also in the field.

J.T. Poston, who won the John Deere Classic Sunday, is another addition to a field that boasts 34 PGA TOUR winners in the past two seasons, including seven players who have won this year. He is joined by Stewart Cink, another 2022 winner, who will compete here for the third time.

2012 FedExCup champion and nine-time PGA TOUR winner Brandt Snedeker, three-time winner Brendan Steele and four-time European Tour champion Matt Wallace also committed within the past few days.

Day, a 12-time PGA TOUR winner who finished T66 in his only appearance here in 2019, leads the current field in career victories. There are 191 total PGA TOUR victories represented in the 156-player field.

Also, with the addition of Day and Cink, there are five major championship winners coming to Blaine and include 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama, Masters champion Danny Willett and U.S. Open winner Lucas Glover.
