Warian Shoots 69, But He's Now Tied for 7th at 134 in Stanford Regional

PEQUOT LAKES, Minn. – The first-round lead for the team of Mark Bofferding, Larry Bodensteiner, Dave Norgaard and Dan Klema at the Minnesota Golf Association Amateur Net Team Championship only grew larger as the four cruised to a 13-stroke victory Wednesday at the Pines at Grand View Lodge.
The team finished the first round on top of the leaderboard with a 17-under par 127 Tuesday, giving themselves a 6-stroke cushion heading into the final round. The four carded an 11-under par 133 Wednesday to take the title by 13 shots at 260.
Doug Rechtzigel, Joe Vandenhuevel, Bob Rapp and Dave Harty finished in a tie for second second place at 273 Wednesday after entering the final round in fourth place, carding a 6-under par 138.
Also finishing tied for second was the team of Glen Hasselberg, Randy Wilson, Jann Blesener and Jack Blesener who carded a 5-under par 139 on the final day, while James Olson, Bob Banks, Steve Lindstrom and Bob Carnel fired a 4-under par 140 to finish tied for second.
