*--Van Rooyen is not shown on this money list because he is not an official member of the PGA Tour. If he were, he would be tied for 115th place with Jon Rahm.

* -- The top 125 players on the FedEx Points list at the end of the regular season (Aug. 19) went on to play in a four-tournament series called the FedEx Playoffs, at the end of which the player with the most points (Justin Rose) earned a $10 million bonus. After the first of the FedEx playoff events, the number of players continuing was 100, then 70 after the Dell Technologies Championship (Aug. 31-Sept. 3). At that point, Merritt was No. 91 and Hoge 92. So they were both eliminated. The top 30 advanced to the Tour Championship, which was played Sept. 20-23 in Atlanta.
**Players No. 126 through 200 on the points list went into the Web.com Tour Finals, another four-tournament series -- to keep their jobs, basically. There were also 75 players from the Web.com in the Finals. At the end of the four tournaments, the top 25 money-winners gained exempt status for the 2018-19 PGA Tour. (See a more complete explanation below)
2018 WEB.COM TOUR
Final regular-season money list
22. Brady Schnell (21), Milford, Iowa 21 $178,081*
165. Donald Constable (161), Minnetonka 4 $11,443
244. Andre Metzger (244), Sioux Falls 4 $1,356
Andrew McCain, Minneapolis 2 --
Cam Beckman, Burnsville 2 --
Robert Bell, Pierz 1 --
Derek Chang, Alpharetta, Ga. 1 --
Doug Quinones, Sioux Falls 1 --
* -- The top 25 players on the final regular-season Web.com money list -- including Brady Schnell -- earned PGA Tour Cards for the 2018-19 season. They also went into the Web.com Finals, along with those who finished No. 26 through 75 on the Web.com money list, plus the No. 126 through 200 finishers on the PGA Tour FedEx points list. The Web.com Finals are a four-tournament series, from which the top 25 finishers will earn PGA Tour Cards for the 2018-19 season. That group of 25 didn't count the 25 from the Web.com regular-season money list who had already earned their PGA Tour privileges for the next season. If that sounds confusing, it is. Those top 25 from the regular season were in the Finals to improve their exempt status, or in other words, gain a higher spot on the priority list. (And why the PGA Tour can't use its money list as the basis for entering the post-season playoffs, instead of the contrived FedEx Points list, is another good question.)
