Sigel and Park Unable to Reach Match Play at U.S. Junior Amateur in South Carolina

  BLUFFTON, S.C. – A long weather delay caused play to be suspended due to darkness Tuesday during the second round of the 2015 U.S. Junior Championship at Colleton River Plantation Club.

After second round was completed Wednesday, Minnesotans Ben Sigel and Joey Park were unable to make the 64-player cut for the match play portion of the championship as Sigel finished at 7-over par 151, while Park finished two rounds at 18-over par 162.

Sigel, Deephaven, Minn., carded a 2-over par 74 during the opening round Monday before shooting 77 during the second round Tuesday.

Park, Lake Elmo, Minn., opened the championship with an 8-over par 80 Monday before carding an 82 during the second round.

Brandon Mancheno, Jacksonville, Fla., earned medalist honors Wednesday as he finished the first two rounds of stroke play at 6-under par 138.

The first round of match play was scheduled for Wednesday after the second round of qualifying was completed, continuing through the weekend with the championship match scheduled for Sunday.
