Players receive invitations to represent their respective teams (MGA or MN PGA) based on the Player Points List from the previous year. Click here to view the 2021 Player of the Year Points Lists.
Teams are made up of twelve (12) Men, four (4) Senior Men and four (4) Women. MGA team members must be an MGA Associate Member at an MGA Member Club and not have high school or college eligibility remaining. MN PGA team members may be either a PGA Member or Associate in good standing and must be eligible to participate in MN PGA Section events.
Play is in groups of four consisting of two (2) MGA players and two (2) MN PGA players. Matches will feature Team MGA versus Team MN PGA in a Four-Ball match whille the #1 players will play each other and the #2 players will play each other in Single matches.
The twenty (20) Single matches are worth one (1) point while the ten (10) Four-Ball matches are worth two (2) points for a total of forty (40) points. The team winning 20.5 points or more wins the Matches. If the Matches end in a 20-20 tie, the team having won last retains the Cup.
