NOTE The field is limited to the first 42 players to enter.
The use of a golf cart is permitted for this event. Carts may be prepaid online at the time of entry. Or, it may be paid on-site each day of the tournament. Carts will be sent out on a first come basis after prepaid carts.
Entry is open to any female amateur golfer:
(1) Who is currently an Associate Member of the MGA at the club from which they are playing,
(2) Whose club is a current Member Club of the MGA, and
(3) Who is at least 25 years old as of the first day of the Championship.
An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.
NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership in order to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or an MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee's decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.
CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT: 36-holes, stroke play from a longer yardage (5,600 - 5,900 yards).
OTHER FLIGHTS: 36-holes, stroke play from a shorter yardage (5,300 - 5,600 yards).
The Champion will be the player with the lowest 36 hole total from the Championship Flight. In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play. A tie for first place in any other flight will be broken by a scorecard playoff as recommended by USGA policy.
Tuesday, August 29 - Round 1: Starting times will begin in the early afternoon.
Wednesday, August 30 - Round 2: Starting times will begin in the early afternoon.
NOTE: Round 1 Starting times for will be available after registration has closed.
Flights will be determined after registration has closed. A player will be placed in a flight according to her Handicap Index® on the deadline. A Flight Report will be publishyed after flights have been established.
Practice round times may be available on a space available basis. Please contact the Island View Golf Club (952/442-6116) and identify yourself as an MGA Women's Mid-Amateur contestant to schedule a time. The fee may be dependent upon the day and time you play.
Range balls will be provided prior to play each day. The range will be open at least 60 minutes prior to the first tee time.
