NOTE: Entries are limited to the first 84 players to enter.
This is a WALKING-ONLY event.
Entry is open to any female amateur golfer:
(1) Who must NOT have reached their 19th birthday by the last day of the Championship, and
(2) Who is currently an Associate Member of the MGA at the club from which they are playing and whose club is a current Member Club of the MGA, OR
(3) Who is a permanent resident of Minnesota.
An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.
NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership in order to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or an MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee's decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.
NEW!! 54-holes, individual, stroke play. There will be a cut to the low 24 + ties after Round 2.
The Champion will be the player with the lowest total from the Championship Flight. In the event of a tie, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play. A tie for first place in any other flight will be broken by a scorecard playoff as recommended by USGA procedure.
EXCITING NEWS!! Beginning in 2024, the Champion will receive an exemption to the US Girls' Junior Amateur Championship!
The Caddie Policy follows the US Girls' Junior Amateur caddie policy which allows caddies at the championship as long as the caddie is NOT a parent, step-parent or guardian.
Spectator carts will not be allowed without a handicap placard. Please see an MGA official on site for permission to rent a spectator cart. Please remain with the group and on the cart path. Where there is no path, keep the cart along the edge, in the fairway.
Round 1: Tuesday, July 11 - Emerald Greens GC: Starting times begin at 7:30 am
Round 2: Wednesday, July 12 - Emerald Greens GC: Starting times begin at 7:30 am
Round 3: Thursday, July 13 - Hastings GC: Starting times begin at 8:00 am
1. Round 1 &2 starting times will be posted approximately 7-10 days prior to the Championship. Round 3 starting times will be based on the total score..
2. The field will be cut to the low 24 + ties after Round 2.
Players have the opportunity to decide in which Flight they would like to play based on the yardage listed below. A Flight Report listing the players in each flight will be available after registration has closed.

Practice rounds will be available at both golf courses. Please contact the Golf Shop at each course and identify yourself as an MN State Junior Girls' contestant to schedule a time. The fee may be dependent upon the day and time you play.
NOTE: Players who make the cut and will be playing Round 3 at Hastings GC MAY play a practice round on Wednesday, July 12, after their round at Emerald Greens.
Range balls will be provided prior to play each day. The range will open at least 60 minutes prior to play.

Lunch will be provided at no cost at Emerald Greens GC to all contestants.
